Recordings of a series of songs by Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys. The songs were apparently recorded directly from the radio Grand Ole Opry broadcasts sometime in the late 1940s, prior to Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt's departure from the Blue Grass Boys. The recording includes both secular and sacred music.
